Thanks to all who attended our Dinner Dance, Parade, and After Party also many thanks to the individuals business who placed an ad in our Souvenir Journal. We had many visitors from Ireland, England and across the United States. Included was the Gill family from Drumlish who organized a family reunion of 60 people around our dance. Big thanks to all the people who chaired or worked on the committees to organize all the events.

We had members of the Longford Local Authorities, Longford and Leinster GAA officials, Consul General Neill Burgess and Minister for Education and Science Mary Hannifin who has Longford roots with us. At the end of the evening Grand Marshall Tommy Smyth and Parade Chairman John Dunleavy stopped by and wished everyone a Happy Saint Patrick’s Day. We were honored that so many came to be with us.

We had wonderful honorees; Rose Cosgrove who had celebrated her 100 birthday, Lisa Murtagh the current Rose of Tralee and Seamus O’Toole proprietor of many Restaurants and Bars.

The next day most joined us on Fifth Avenue and Rose Cosgrove was able to to be us. John Dunleavy welcomed her and Longford and Rose got close to five minuets of TV coverage.

The next meeting will be on Friday May 9th at the Liederkrantz Club 6 E. 87 St. NYC
